History

The year 2010 attests the renovation and expansion of POS and Ticketing ranges: it has been launched a new and elegant line of Touch Screen cash systems and have been enhanced the ticketing, events and transport areas. Always in the ticketing sector, in March it has been signed an important partnership agreement with IATA - International Air Transport Association, which represents the most important players of the airlines industry.
During the year Custom reinforces his international presence taking part in more than 20 exhibitions all over the world. In July, Custom Group acquires the 100% of Fasy International Spa, company which operates in the planning, production and distribution of fiscal devices.
Since October Fasy International Spa has a new General Director, Eng. Fabio Bertolino, whose appointment will contribute to the development of more innovative, efficient and competitive products.
Custom started new distribution channels with many partners worldwide: EWL in Germany, Aures in France, Custom IdNet and Intera in South America.

The 18th of March 2009 System Retail becomes part of Custom Group.
System Retail is a company with a consolidated know how in IT solutions for the Retail market, thanks to years of experience in LSD and to the cooperation with the most important companies in the modern distribution sector.
The entrance of System Retail will allow Custom Group to be completely involved in the embedded development of applications, in the supply of IT solutions and added value services for the point of sales of LSD and Franchisors.
In spite of the international crisis, Custom is a group which keeps on his investments in R&D, specializing itself in the vertical markets. It introduces a range of solutions specifically created for the ticketing industry, transferring the advanced technology gained from other sectors such as the industry and the point of sale.
It's born the cooperation with the company Stimare Ltd, official partner which will give to Custom the possibility to supply, in addition to the technology, the assistance in software integration, guaranteeing the compatibility with all the software platforms used in the ticketing sector.
It goes on the international growth in China and India; in February we will launch the www.custom.biz website in chinese language.

The first great news is the founding of SYSTEM GAMING SPA, a company operatively integrated in the Group, the objective of which is to focus on and develop the activities of CUSTOM in the Gaming, Lotteries & Betting sector, guaranteeing the vertical integration of both products and services relative to sector operators worldwide.
Our new sales offices and show room at Pontetaro are officially opened.
With the notarial deed of 22 May, the Board of Directors resolves to increase the company share capital from 4.5 Ml/€ to 6.0 Ml/€
On 24 July, CUSTOM announces the important acquisition of the FASY Group, now named Fasy International Spa, setting itself the goal of making the Custom/Fasy Group a European reference in the point-of-sale automation sector and in the services offered to customers of the franchising and retail sectors.
On 24 September, the Group officially opens CPE, the new 1200 sq. m. production plant in Romania.
The partnership with the Hanindo China group is established and a new branch office is set up in San Jose, California, in order to improve service and reinforce the presence of  CUSTOM in these specific markets.
CUSTOM continues to invest in the Research and Development of new products and new technologies: in fact, this year the new Ticketing division is launched offering solutions with a high technical content for ticketing, new software and applications for increasingly more user-friendly man-machine interfaces, new web servers integrated on kiosk printers for remote monitoring and updating, in addition to new patents (VERIPRINT) and certifications (CQC).

More than just printers ! Yet again, CUSTOM places the emphasis on investment in the technical area and in R&D: we are in the vanguard in the virtualization of company servers with VMWARE technology. This technology provides considerable advantages in terms of data security, space reduction and energy savings. Additionally, all the company server room connections are 1Gb fibre optic connections. The main corporate web site has been revolutionized ! New "dynamic" site, realized with the very latest technology (.NET). With unique, more secure and faster authentication, the Customer will be able to access all the reserved areas of the web page. New products dedicated to the multimedia world have arrived: miniplayers and multimediaboxes with the capacity to distribute multimedia contents such as videos, web pages and images onto various monitors and displays of any dimensions. Increase of company share capital from 1,500,000.00 € to 4,500,000.00 €.

New company organization: manufacturing is managed and organized from the Headquarters through new CPE Srl - Custom Production Europe - manufacturing company is located in Romania and India sub-contractor, specialized in one line of products (KUBE).
There are also 12 external partners sub-contractors located in Italy who are ISO 9002 compliant.

New private web portal: all extern divisions of the Company, manufacturing, sub-contractors, branch offices and sales team are connected in real time to the headquarters through reserved access to the CUSTOM web portal.

All the technology, hardware and software development, have been created inside the Company.

CUSTOM ENGINEERING IBERIAN was born ! CUSTOM, now well-established in all Europe, keeps on with its company growth with the opening of new branch office in Valencia, SPAIN.
Internal laboratory expansion for the CUSTOM technologies growth and testing: new laboratory is provided with the new machine with stereolitography system (ViperSI2-3DSystems), for the quick production of prototypes to study and design new printing solutions. Company fully paid-up capital is increased from 1.002.000,00 € to 1.500.000,00 €.

At the beginning of September the shipping department has been moved into a new dedicated building, where Custom is and will be able to provide an outstanding service for the growing demand of products and rapidity. Start of agreements for opening a direct office in BRASIL , SPAIN and RUSSIA.
The new UK sales office starts its activity in Luton, providing an on site service and support into the first non domestic market for Custom.
The new domestic sales office with show room and training centre is inaugurated in Modena.
CUSTOM became Italy's first "qualified manufacturer" of fiscal calculators, the licence for which was duly issued by the competent Italian state office.
CUSTOM was also the first Company to launch the Multimedia Memory Card (M.M.C.) on the Italian fiscal market.

Capital stock is increased to 1,002,000 € .
The US headquarters has moved to Chicago and there are branch offices in Dallas, Los Angeles, Atlanta and New Jersey. CUSTOM obtains UNI EN ISO 9001/2000 (VISION) and the final procedures to obtain ISO 14000 certification are underway.

Custom has become a worldwide company with a network of major distributors and customers. To complete its already vast product line, it begins production of thermal mechanism printers. As of this date, all products it manufacturers are realized using Custom's own patented printing mechanisms and systems.
UNI EN ISO 9001 certification is renewed with positive comments from certifying inspectors.

Custom Engineering becomes a joint-stock company, increasing its capital stock to 498,000 Euro. In the same year, it obtains MURST "AUTHORIZED BY THE MINISTRY FOR INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT" certification.
Sales activity begins in the United States with the opening of a local office in Arizona.

The Milan sales office is opened in order to directly service Italy's industrial heartland. The company is awarded ISO9001 certified according to UL, Cul, Demko and CE standards. The new head office in Fontevivo is inaugurated.

After just 3 years in business, Custom has become the domestic market leader.
The KIOSK and ATM product lines have already been created, as has the first desktop printer for the retail market. This year also sees the opening of activity into European and other international markets.
The in-house electromagnetic compatibility lab, conforming with EU standards 89/336/CEE, 92/31/CEE, is already in operation.

Custom Engineering limited company is founded with the goal of realizing ad hoc printing solutions on the basis of individual client requirements. Design efforts are soon focused on the development of industrial dot matrix printers and the new company lays the basis for development into the dedicated printer sector.
